The Ennis House, the last and largest of Wright’s four block houses in the Los Angeles area, has sold for $18 million, setting a new record for sale price of a Wright-designed house. From 2005-07, the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy played a critical role in helping to stabilize the endangered house before it transitioned to a private owner who completed its restoration. The buyer has not been identified. The house is protected by a preservation easement held by the Los Angeles Conservancy.
