Thirty years ago, the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy was formed to facilitate the preservation of Wright’s nearly 400 remaining structures. Over the last three decades, hundreds of building owners and stewards have turned to us for help in protecting his important architectural legacy. This would not be possible without your generous and steadfast support.
70% of Wright’s remaining works are in private hands. In order to ensure their preservation, we must equip those who care for them with the best information and the most up-to-date resources. This is the work that our staff and dedicated volunteers do, day in and day out: educational programs, in-depth research, and individualized conversations. We could not provide this crucial service to building owners and stewards without you.
Transitions in ownership present both opportunities and threats to Wright properties. Our Wright on the Market listings help attract the attention of preservation-minded buyers. With sales of Wright homes having nearly doubled in the last 18 months, the Conservancy is here to welcome an enthusiastic new generation of stewards with technical support and the opportunity to become part of the Wright community. We can make these critical connections because of your generosity.
This year more than ever, the Conservancy needs your support! If you are able, please make a special gift to the Conservancy’s year-end fundraising appeal. Donations up to $30,000 will be matched by an anonymous donor.
Frank Lloyd Wright understood the importance of beauty in our lives. In this uncertain year, we turn to you to help us remain financially strong, so that Wright’s beautiful legacy will be there to inspire us today and into the future.
