Join us to learn about the comprehensive restoration that was recently completed at Samara, the 1954 National Historic Landmark house in West Lafayette, Indiana, commissioned by Dr. John and Catherine Christian. The house has maintained original finishes, equipment, and furnishings for nearly seventy years while meticulously seeing the architect’s original design intentions through to completion. Samara faced structural and mechanical challenges that needed attention. The restoration project was funded by a $500,000 Save America’s Treasures Grant from the National Park Service, the John E. Christian Family Memorial Trust, Inc., and private donors.

Speakers:
Bob Score, AIA, Project Manager, Harboe Architects
Suzanne Stanis, Vice President of Education, Indiana Landmarks.
